When one examines his career, one can understand why Charles Leaver was chosen to be the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of cybersecurity giant Ziften. His tech career has been very long, starting in 1982. In that time, Charles has been an entrepreneur and a senior executive, and he has also worked on the front lines, in sales and management and as an advisor in a number of tech sectors, not the least of which were the mobile and media sectors. Before becoming Ziften's CEO, he served as the company's Chairman for a time and, before that, he was a Partner with Trellis Partners, a venture capital firm in Austin, Texas.
Charles Leaver comes to the security business as a natural course. Some time back, he owned, operated and managed a variety of technologically sophisticated lottery systems in South America, Asia and Europe. He is bullish on the future of cyber security and he believes that the "Internet of Things" will drive massive growth. Under his leadership, Ziften is poised to become a key player in the next phase of the technological revolution.
